UFC Partners with Hooters for Facebook Contest

Yup. That just happened.

After teaming with consumer brands like Bud Light, THQ among others the UFC is adding another known brand to the Octagon “Hooters.”  The chain restaurant will be the newest brand to associate with the MMA monster in its social media campaigns.

This week the UFC and Hooters announced a special contest for “UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber II.” They are looking for fan opinions on which Hooters Girl is the most “deserving” of being a ring girl at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada during the July 2nd fight card. The winner will, of course, work alongside UFC fan favorites Arianny Celeste, Brittney Palmer and Chandella Powell.

To enter, ‘Like’ Hooters on Facebook and follow the instructions from there.

I’m not one for these types of contests, but as I continue to say this is another great way to keep the fans engaged, interested in participating in UFC events all year round.  Also, as this will be the first PPV headlined by the Bantamweight division.  Although Urijah Faber has a strong fan base, any extra attention could certainly help drive up the PPV numbers and drive in even more of the younger male demographic (because let’s be honest, who else likes Hooters?)
