What are you Thankful for this year?

Posted: November 24, 2010 in Local MMA, Marketing, PR

Well folks, I’m winding down the week due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday, but I saw a recent HDNet Fights segment and had to post it here.  The ongoing series “Inside Americas Gyms” featured a recent interview with George Stern, a blind MMA practitioner from American Top Team.

Although George’s story is inspirational enough, the reason I am so touched by this interview is his sentiment and overall feelings on jujitsu and MMA.  He discusses the camaraderie, the skills you develop and even the confidence you can take away from the sport.

If you read this blog then you know that one of my main missions is to dispel the myth that this sport is a bunch of bruisers and killers in a cage trying to harm one another.  Listen to this interview with George, I think his words are far more touching and convincing than anything I will be able to write.

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.  See you next week.
