Today was an interesting day in pop culture and took us one step further in the mainstream movement of MMA. UFC star Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell was immortalized with a figurine at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas wax museum in Las Vegas.  This of course marks the first mixed martial artist to be honored by Tussauds and I have to admit it is spot on.  Sometimes you see these things and they look like the person frozen in carbonite, but this go around the Tussauds created a perfect Wax Chuck.

Despite where his fight career may be headed this is another moment in pop culture that solidifies his status as a celebrity and an ambassador for MMA.  Chuck can now add this to his list of other accomplishments outside of the ring including his inclusion in a variety of TV shows, ads/commercials, movies, and music videos.

I think Dana White himself addresses this best here:

If you could pick one other fighter for the museum, who would it be?
